Founder of Friendster

Have you ever know who is the founder of Friendster? Here are some information about the founder-Jonathan Abrams. He was born in a frozen land north of America, and began his career as a software engineer at companies such as Netscape and Nortel. Jonathan holds an Honors B.Sc. in Computer Science from McMaster University, which he received after flunking out of engineering school.

Jonathan Abrams is the founder and CEO of Socializr, an online service for sharing event and party information with friends. Before he created Friend Then, he created Friendster in 2002 in Mountain View, California before MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn and others were created. Before he founded bookmarking community HotLinks, and worked as a software engineer at companies such as Netscape and Nortel.

Friendster was founded to create a safer, more effective environment for meeting new people by browsing user profiles and connecting to friends, friends of friends and so on, allowing members to expand their network of friends more rapidly than in real life, face-to-face scenarios.

Other than that, Jonathan is the co-owner of San Francisco’s new modern speakeasy Slide, and an investor in Vintage 415 restaurant Mamacita. Jonathan has also co-hosted parties in San Francisco.
